It is used by companies and home-users to analyse, and graphically
display figures and numeric data. Microsoft Excel can be used to produce
everything from budgets and financial forecasts to managing household
expenditure and sorting music collections.
Our Microsoft Access
courses come in 3 levels - Beginners, Intermediate
and Advanced
As a beginner,
you will learn how to set up a worksheet, save a spreadsheet, and
build basic mathematical formulas in cells. The beginners course will
show you cell formating techniques, and the different data types that
Excel can store.
The Microsoft Excel beginners course covers 15 hours working through
an instruction manual with exercises and sample Excel spreadsheets.
A trainer will get you started with a tour of Excel and the applications
capabilities, before showing you how to work through the exercises
to create simple worksheets. Trainers will be available in the classrooms
at all times if you need assistance.

At the Intermediate level you will learn about absolute references,
the autofill function, create and format charts to graphically display
your data, and learn to set the print area for your spreadsheet.

At this level
you will learn the advanced features and functions of Excel, including
financial & statistical functions used in advanced numerical analysis.
You learn how to apply conditional logic to these functions, and how
to write macros for your spreadsheets as well as how to build interactive
pivot tables for large amounts of data.
