Microsoft Word

Microsoft Word is one of the most widely used applications for creating and editing documents including letters, reports and business plans. The Word enviroment uses buttons and menus to make word-processing simple and quick. Our Microsoft Word course comes in 3 levels - Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced.

Beginners

As a Beginner, you will be introduced to the tools and menus, shown how to set up and save a document and print it. The beginners course covers 15 hours working through an instruction manual, with exercises and sample Word documents. A trainer will get you started with a tour of Word and the applications capabilities, before showing you how to work through the exercises to create and modify simple documents. This 'learning by doing' approach introduces you to the environment, buttons and menus of Word. Trainers will be available in the classrooms at all times if you need assistance

Intermediate

At a Intermediate level you will learn how to use Microsoft Word efficiently to accomplish basic functions such as addressing envelopes, producing address labels, setting up a Mail Merge and advanced formatting options such as inserting page numbers, using templates, tabs and simple tables.
The Microsoft Word Intermediate course covers 15 hours, working through an instruction manual with exercises and sample Word documents. A trainer will get you started with the application before showing you how to work through the exercises to create and modify sample documents. Trainers will be available in the classrooms at all times if you need assistance.

Advanced

At this level you will learn the advanced features and functions of Microsoft Word, including advanced table formatting, working with columns, importing graphics and creating templates. You will begin to integrate Microsoft applications by embedding Excel charts in your documents, and create macros to perform functions in your documents.
